Break a sweat, connect with other women, and learn about the new health products and services we're currently loving! Hosted on the beautiful rooftop of Fitness Formula Clubs in Gold Coast, this day is to celebrate YOU. The day will consist of 3 different workouts, speakers, tons of vendors and an amazing swag bag to take home!


Class Descriptions

Jam Session with Dominick DeFranco

  • Jam Session is a dance workout party that will fire up every muscle group while you jam to influences of hip hop, EDM, top 40 hits, pop, and RnB. If you like WERQ and Zumba dance cardio classes, you will love Jam Session. It’s fun and easy to follow!

TWISTED with Elissa Peterson

  • Take your practice to the next level! This yoga format will allow you to go deeper in both mind and body through the utilization of rotation and stretching in order to improve flexibility. Get ‘TWISTED’!

UnPlug with Gary Alexander

  • Learn how to calm your brain and body with simple meditation techniques that will help you experience an increase in self-awareness, clarity and creativity.


More About the Instructors

Dominick DeFranco

Dominick DeFranco is group fitness manager for 4 FFC health clubs and assists in the creative direction of class programming and development. He has been in the industry for 25 years and hails from NYC. He is a highly-certified instructor and professionally trained dancer.

His accomplishments include acting as the pre-Brooklyn NBA New Jersey Nets dance team director and choreographer for 8 seasons, numerous video and television credits, musical theatre, and leading dance/fitness workshops and master classes at conventions and conferences across the country.

Elissa Peterson

Elissa has been involved in the health and wellness industry for over 10 years. Yoga has always been an integral part of her holistic lifestyle. In 2009 she received her 200 hour certification and went on to obtain her 500 hour in 2018. Over time, she has added spin and group fitness to her teaching schedule. Elissa’s yoga classes both challenge and nourish the body and spirit always with the conscience intention to find ease and stability in each pose. Her spin and group fitness classes are also physically challenging, but her humor keeps it fun. With backgrounds in massage and fine art, Elissa’s classes are where she can let her creativity shine through unique sequencing and music.

Gary Alexander

Gary Alexander received his yoga teaching certification from one of Chicago's premier yoga studios and has since begun teaching at several locations around the city, including Fitness Formula Clubs (where he teaches 7 regular classes a week). He also started yoga programs at two churches: St. James Episcopal Cathedral and Church of Our Saviour in Lincoln Park. His classes, whether in a gym, corporate setting, or one-on-one, combine the best of vinyasa yoga with an emphasis on breath, flowing physical movement, and centering of the mind.

In addition to his teacher training, Gary has participated in several week-long intensive yoga retreats and workshops on various areas of yoga and teaching: meditation; pranayama; and therapeutic physical adjustments. Gary has experience teaching all levels of students from beginners and those with physical limitations to more advanced yogis ready for a more challenging practice. Off the mat, Gary is a professional actor and singer and has developed special yoga sequences aimed at helping performing artists to become more centered, physically aware, and better prepared for the particular demands of their profession. Gary is also Chicago’s leading expert on “doga,” – yoga for you and your dog.
