A weekly community gathering with Ladies Get Paid founder, Claire Wasserman. Part career coaching, part networking.

About this Event

During this strange time of social distancing, quarantining, and working remotely, we need community now more than ever.

Hosted by career coach and Ladies Get Paid founder, Claire Wasserman, Bring Your Own Lunch (BYOL) is our weekly series for the community to gather. Whether it's navigating our careers or just staying afloat during this time, we need to learn from and lean on one another. During the first 30 minutes, Claire will answer the questions you submit and then the rest of the time will be spent in breakout groups, discussing the topic, and getting to know one another.

THIS WEEK'S THEME IS GET A PROMOTION.

If you wait until your annual review to advocate for yourself, you're too late. All throughout the year you need to make sure you're visible, ally yourself with the right people, find opportunities to create more of an impact, manage up effectively..and so much more. This conversation is needed now more than ever since we can't rely on spontaneous conversations at the water cooler, or hope that we get noticed in a meeting.

TESTIMONIALS:

  • "Ladies Get Paid's value extends beyond the services they offer. If you make the commitment to attend one of their events, you'll have the opportunity to maximize your experience by getting to know the community."
  • "I attended the Bring Your Own Lunch: The Job Hunt webinar with Claire, hoping to learn some tips and tricks on making it past the resume review to the interview phase of job searching. Claire had tangible advice and answered very specific questions that had been submitted by attendees (e.g. "Do I have to tell the company I'm interviewing with that I'm pregnant?" Spoiler: "It's none of their damn business" was Claire's response!)"
  • "While the content was top-notch, the most valuable aspect of attending was when Claire asked all attendees to post their industries and LinkedIn pages in the comments on the Zoom call. I posted and immediately heard the notifications on my LinkedIn dinging. By the end, I had over 40 new connections and a lineup of informal chats with about 15 of those connections! I've had seven of the calls since the webinar and each one was unique and interesting. Whether I was giving advice on my industry to someone who was interested in breaking into the field or I was pitching my ask to others, it's helped me get to know more people and learn about additional job hunting skills."
  • "I never thought attending an hour-long webinar could lead to so many fruitful connections. Make the decision to engage with LGP, you won't regret it."
  • "I watched the BYOL today, it was great to feel connected to people after so many days alone in my apartment."
  • "We wanted to thank you for gathering a community of amazing people and for sharing an hour of your Friday at last week’s Ladies Get Paid BYOL Zoom session. It was really fun to hear your perspective across several vectors or your career, your business and your thoughts on the world right now. It was inspiring to see hundreds of women take a break in their day to spend it with each other during this time. Your ability to foster community and create spaces for coming together is evident and admirable and as two young women launching our careers in New York, we deeply admire you and what you have achieved in your personal and professional life."
  • "Thanks for the great BYOL. You lifted my mood for sure in this crazy time."
