about Step Up
Step Up supports girls of color in underserved communities in developing the skills, relationships, and access needed to graduate high school confident, college bound, career-focused, and ready to join the next generation of womxn leaders.

Step Up girls represent a multitude of races, ethnicities and identities, all emboldened through meaningful mentoring relationships to use their voices and skills to address inequities, reject racism and build coalitions that strengthen their abilities to be future leaders in college and their careers. We believe that participation in Step Up can lead to a more equitable world, where teens use their diverse experiences and leverage their access and power on behalf of the next generation of marginalized youth.
